Now that spring is here Missy and Wellie can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine that they love so much. Rabbits make wonderful house pets but they do enjoy time outside, as long as they are given a protected place safe from the elements and harm rabbits can stay right outside. Our bunnies are potty trained (although they do still make messes…they are after all rabbits) and they have plenty of time outside their indoor hutch to romp and play when the weather is frightful. But now that spring is here they are getting re-acquainted with the outdoors and will soon move to the barn for the summer.

And this is Wellington aka Wellie (yes, Wellington comes from Beef Wellington…long story…)

Wellie does have eyes you just can’t see them very well!

Missy and Wellie are Lionhead Rabbits. They have an abundance of super long, very soft and silky hair. Of course with all that hair comes some SERIOUS grooming issues.

Missy and Wellie are part of the crew that the children will enjoy this summer when they come to The Children’s Garden here at the Farm.
